DIY Hand Care Series: Tomato Hand Soak

Hi all! Today’s recipe is for a Tomato Pre Manicure Hand Soak. Firstly, you will need a coconut liquid soap base. This base is made in SoapLab and it is incredibly moisturizing and will hydrate and nourish your hands. 

Next we added, tomato extract. The reason why we added tomato extract is because it unclogs the pores as well as brightens the skin, as it is rich with Vitamin C. Hence its a good ‘soak’ instead of just ‘wash’. For best effectiveness; use these hand soak after scrubbing and soak hands in for 5-10 mins to get the full brightening benefit.

Finally; we added cranberry balsam fragrance oil for a flowery aroma. This hand soak, will make your hand soft and unclog the pores, making your manicure a great one.

Preparation Time : 5 minutes

Total Time : 10 minutes 

Ingredients: (makes 200g Hand Soak)

1. 200g SoapLab’s Coconut Liquid Soap Base
2. 2g Cranberry Balsam Fragrance Oil 
3. 1g Tomato Extract 
4. 1g Mauve Pink Mica 
5. 2g Glycerin 
6. 10 sprays of Rubbing Alcohol
7. 200 ml Pump Bottle

Visual Guide  

1. Pour 200g of SoapLab’s Coconut Liquid Soap Base into a container, ready to be mixed. 
   
   
   
2. Add in 2g of Cranberry Balsam Fragrance Oil into the liquid soap base. You may use a pipette to make it easier to measure.  
   
   
   
3. Next, add in Mauve Pink Mica mixed with glycerin into the mixing container. 
   
   
   
4. Add in Tomato Extract into the mixing container. 
   
   
   
5. Mix liquid soap base, extract and mica with a whisk until everything is evenly disperse in the hand soak.  
   
   
   
6. Spray Rubbing Alcohol inside the storage container. This will help sterilise the container and remove any existing contaminants and bacteria. 
   
   
   
7. Pour mixture into the storage container carefully to avoid any unwanted spillage.
   
   
   
8. Screw on the pump head tightly. 
   
   
   
9. Tadaa! It is ready to be enjoyed!
