How To Make: Soya Milk Soap (For Sensitive Skin)~Soya Bean Soap

Hi all! Today’s recipe will be for a Soy Milk Bath Lathering Bar.

To make it you will need to combine an oil mix with lye flakes distilled water and Pacific’s Select Soy Milk (or any soya milk you can get outside, preferably unsweetened)

The oil mix contains coconut, castor, olive and palm oil. These oils keep you looking radiant and younger while also making your skin softer and smoother.

Soy milk has qualities which promote anti-aging of the skin. This makes your skin smoother. It is also antioxidant rich, renewing skin cells to keep it healthy and glowing.

For a flavourful aroma, add Green Tea and Vanilla Bean fragrance oils.

Reward yourself after a long day of work with this relaxing soap. Enjoy!

  1. Combine lye flakes with distilled water carefully. Wear gloves & long sleeves to avoid backsplash getting in contact with exposed skin.

  2. Slowly mix with a whisk until all the lye flakes have dissolved in the distilled water. Solution may become hot, do be cautious.
  3. To bring lye solution to room temperature, place container in a water bath.

  4. Measure out Pacific’s Soy Milk carefully to avoid any spillage and then set aside.

  5. Separately, pour your Oil Mix into a heat resistant mixing container. Combine room temperature Lye Water  with the oil mix.

  6.  Next, use a whisk and mix until it reaches thin trace. Timing of this may vary as the faster you mix, the faster solution will saponify and reaches thin trace.

  7. Once it reaches thin trace, add in Green Tea Fragrance Oil. For this, use a pipette for easy measuring & dispensing.

  8. Next, add in Vanilla Bean Fragrance Oil. Again, use a pipette for the same reasons stated above.

  9. Add in Soy Milk into the container and mix everything using a whisk until milk & oil are evenly dispersed throughout the soap mixture.

  10. Split the soap mixture into two equal parts. In one of the container, add in White Liquid Colour Pigment and mix. Leave the other mixture in the other container colourless.

  11. Prepare your silicone  mold. Spray with Rubbing Alcohol to sanitise mold. Next, pour in soap mixture half way into each cavity. Pour carefully, soap might still be warm.

  12. Next. Add in the white soap mixture. Add soap mixture until each cavity is full.
  13. Using the tip of the whisk, sculpt the top part of each soap. Then, leave soap for 24 to 48 hours to harden.
  14. Once hardened, carefully pull mold away from soap. This will help preserve those desired sharp & crispy edges of the soap.

  15. Whenever you feel ready, gently push soap out from the mold.

  16. Soap will be needing 2 - 4 weeks to fully cure before it is used. Keep soap aside till then.

  1. Hi, since this is using soy milk, may I ask around how long is the shelf life? Previously I’ve tried making CP soap using fresh goat milk and after about 3-4 months, I can actually smell a bit of soury scent. So I would like to ask if similar thing will happen by using soy milk? Thank you :))
