How To Make: Lemon Hair Serum for Greasy Hair

Greasy hair is a common occurrence. Today’s recipe is for a Lemon Hair Serum. 

Lemon is famous for controlling and removing excess oils. Add lemon essential oil to a hair serum. In this recipe we are using the HA serum. There are many research stating that HA serum helps in promoting healthy hair growth and so its the perfect serum base for this. Lemon essential oil improves the circulation of the scalp and helps reduce greasiness. It also promotes stronger and healthier hair. 

Next, for a citrusy aroma add orange juice fragrance oil. Finally, add yellow liquid pigment for colour. Have fun!

Preparation Time : 5 minutes

Total Time : 10 minutes 

Ingredients: (makes 100g Serum)

1. 100g SoapLab’s Hair Serum Base  
2. 0.5g Lemon Essential Oil  
3. 1g Orange Juice Fragrance Oil 
4. 2g Hydrogenated Castor Oil/ Polysorbate 20/polysorbate 80
5. 1 drop of Yellow Liquid Colour Pigment 
6. 10 sprays of Rubbing Alcohol
7. 100ml pump bottle

1. Pour 100g of SoapLab’s Serum Base into a container, ready to be mixed. 
   
   
   
2. Add in 0.5g Lemon Essential Oil into the mixing container. Do use a pipette. 
   
   
   
3. Add in Orange Juice Fragrance Oil into the mixture. Use a pipette for easy and accurate measuring & dispensing. 
   
   
   
4. Add in one drop of Yellow Liquid Colour Pigment into the mixture. 
   
   
   
5. Mix everything with a whisk until colour is evenly dispersed throughout the serum. 
   
   
   
6. Spray Rubbing Alcohol inside the storage container. sterelize the container and remove any existing contaminants and bacteria. 
   
   
   
7. Pour serum into the storage container carefully to avoid any spillage. 
8. Screw on the pump head  tightly and there you go, hair serum is ready!
