Jasmine & 'Bunga Raya' Melt & Pour Soap Recipe Malaysia (For brightening)

Still in Local Herbal Week, today we’re making Hibiscus & Jasmine Glow Soap. 

This soap is inspired by traditional Malay and Indian beauty rituals, where hibiscus is used to brighten the skin and keep it soft. 

Combined with jasmine essential oil, which is known for its calming and soothing properties, this soap is perfect for those who want something gentle yet effective for the skin.

We’re using SoapLab’s Natural Coconut Soap Base, which is sulphate-free, alcohol-free, and made with naturally derived ingredients like glycerin and coconut oil, so it’s moisturizing and suitable for all skin types.

The deep red hue comes from Synstar Red Mica, giving the soap a natural and vibrant look without any artificial dyes.

Recipe

1kg SoapLab’s Natural Coconut Soap Base

50g Jasmine Essential Oil

5g Hibiscus Extract

5g Synstar Red Mica

20g Glycerin

Rubbing Alcohol (to spray)

Silicone Mould

Why I Used What I Used

Hibiscus Extract – A traditional ingredient in Malay and Indian skincare, believed to help brighten skin and improve texture.

SoapLab’s Natural Coconut Soap Base – Sulphate-free, alcohol-free, and made with naturally derived ingredients, making it gentle and moisturizing.

Jasmine Essential Oil – Known for its calming and relaxing properties, helps with dry, irritated skin.

Synstar Red Mica – Gives a natural reddish glow without any artificial dyes.

Glycerin – Locks in moisture, keeping skin hydrated and soft.

Rubbing Alcohol – Helps remove bubbles for a smooth finish.
